On the way home from a friend's house tonight, Ashlyn asked where we were going. Sometimes we answer her with silly things, like "to the moon" or whatever, just for fun. Tonight, Loren said, "to a cardboard box."
"What's a cardboard box?" Thankfully, we have had plenty of those around, so that was easy to explain!
"No, Ashlyn, we're really going home. But you know what? There are some people who live in cardboard boxes. They don't have houses, so they try to hide from the rain and stuff in the cardboard boxes."
Then, absolutely spontaneously, she replied, "I could help them buy houses with my money."
So beautiful.
Thank You, Lord, for shaping our precious little girl into someone with such a beautiful heart.
